Frighteners was presented to me on the international filmfestival in Vienna (Viennale '94). It was actually shown in a old observatorium that has been refitted to a cinema. I believe that everybody there at that moment really loved every second of the movie, you could feel it in the air.
It was really a great feeling to see a Peter Jackson movie with a big budget like this. I've been sort of following his career, and see'n most of his features since Bad Taste.
What I really like about frighteners is the mix of fun and horror, and of cause the way theytry to fake everything so that it looks like a small US-town (insteed of New Zeeland).
On the conferance afterwards I spoke a bit with Peter Jackson (the second time I've met him), it was great to hear about his visions of future movies.
