Long before Hellraiser I was reading
horror-books, mostly Stephen King, but some Lovecraft also. And after Hellraiser I
switched almost completly over till just reading Clive Barker books, saw all movies
that came out, but except Nightbreed and Candyman, there was just no movies that
where worth seeing that was based on Clive Barkers stories.
With Lord of Illusions, I just happend to find the Special
Edition laserdisc in a local store (had never heard about the movie before), bought
it without even reading the story on the back of the cover, as soon as I saw it.
The movie hasnīt reached the my cult-status yet, to young, have
to wait and see what I think about it in a couple of years, but it's definitly good
on the way.
