I bought the Laserdisc without knowing really
what kind of movie this is/was, and today I don't really know how many times I've seen it.
This is a picture that is really about nothing, and still it touch you. The great actors,
especially Willam Hurt is giving you characters that takes every day as it comes, not worrying
about tomorrow.
The tobacco-store that everything is circulating around could easily been
anything else, it's just a place where all the people gather, and from where their lifes are
intertwined.
None of the characters has any successful or really good lives, but they
manage and it's so wonderfully visualized that one could/can have a great life without any
major archievments. |
